Consistency Instruction ManualsWith many profiles being developed by numerous organizations within NIST and NSA, it has become apparent that in order for the organizations to lead in this area, IA Protection Profile (PP) efforts need to be closely coordinated to facilitate representing a consistent strategic view to our customer base. After review of a number of PPs, a number of consistent items relative to a given robustness have been captured and recorded in a document referred to as the Consistency Instruction Manual. These PP Consistency Instruction Manuals were developed by the PP Review Board (PPRB) to identify and set forth frameworks of consistent security requirements relative to the appropriate robustness for the specification of products, based on Version 2.2 of the Common Criteria, International Standard 15408.
